In the surrounding area, Skiddaw,
the back drop to Bassenthwaite, is home to Britain’s only pair of nesting
Ospreys and can be viewed from a special platform at Dodd Wood near Keswick.
The nearby towns and villages of
Keswick, Buttermere, Grange and Rosthwaite provide a host of pubs, tearooms,
restaurants and shops.
One of six cottages originally
built to house the families of local slate miners at the turn of the last
century, Littlebeck is now a most idyllic holiday cottage surrounded by
stunning scenery and set in a peaceful and tranquil location.
Littlebeck is well equipped and
tastefully furnished to a high standard to provide very comfortable
accommodation with modern conveniences whilst retaining its tradition and charm
from a bygone era.
