Little Beck Cottage is a coastal boutique holiday cottage nestled within an ancient woodland on the Raithwaite Estate and only 5 minutes walk from the stunning shorelines of Sandsend and a short beach stroll to the tranquil village of Whitby. It suits every season
Built of mellow stone and designed to echo the natural beauty of the surrounding landscapes, the property sits proudly in a row of 4 traditional cottages, a unique position where peace and quiet and convenience go hand in hand.

The Grounds
Situated within an oasis of calm, away from the summer crowds. Little Beck Cottage boasts a 60 meter, south facing woodland patio area, why not start your day with your morning coffee on the terrace or later in the day enjoy a spot of alfresco dining with friends or the family. Featuring a rattan dining table for 6 guests and a comfy outdoor lounging area, fire up the BBQ on a sunny afternoon and dine on the locally caught fish. As the day draws to a close or on an winters eve open up the awnings and wrap up warm with the soft blankets and soak up the heat from the wall mounted heaters whilst toasting marshmallows on the firepit. A perfect end to a perfect day.

The Living Area

A large open plan space with underfloor heating throughout. Flooded with natural light through the large bifold doors, with panoramic views of the woodlands which link the inside to the outside seamlessly
A bespoke kitchen and open plan dining area with a butlers sink, quartz surfaces and fully integrated high-end appliances including fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, wine cooler, Nespresso coffee machine and a Bose portable speaker. Providing plenty of storage and the fully equipped kitchen is ideal for a private chef, if you’re feeling extravagant. A large dining table comfortably seating six people overlooking the grounds and a wall mounted TV providing the perfect entertaining social space

The living room is perfectly suited for a cost night in, snuggled up on one of the loveseats, or sink into the plush sofas and star gazing under the 3-meter-wide sky lantern. Ample seating for up to 6 people perfect when watching the large wall mounted Smart TV complete with Freeview, Sky and Netflix, no end of choices for that movie marathon!!

Our prices are prices include Wi-Fi, luxury towels and linen. We also provide tea towels, kitchen towels, loo roll, soaps, sanitisers and cleaning products, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, savoury bits and pieces.
And, of course, a special arrival gift from our family to yours.
Please be advised, due to some construction works being carried out by Raithwaite Hotel there is possibility of some noise disruption between the times of 7am and 5:30pm, please be assured works are being kept to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
